Five inches longer, the extended shaft of the VMAX SHO 150 brings performance to multi-species boats, inshore boats and other applications that require 25-inch shaft length.
The next-gen I-4 V MAX SHO 175 and 150 descend from the 2013 IBEX® Award-winning 2.8L I-4 marine platform. IBEX is an extension of Professional BoatBuilder® magazine and the National Marine Manufacturer's Association®.
Exhilarating top speed and hole shot and incredible fuel economy—they’re earmarks of the V MAX SHO DNA. They’re also what made our first I-4 V MAX SHO, the VF150, so popular. Now, its 2013 IBEX® award-winning design is being released in a 175hp model.
The new I-4 V MAX SHO 175 serves up exhilarating top speed that bests previous models by more than 5 mph.
The new I-4 V MAX SHO 115 is the lightest DOHC 115HP four stroke on the water, and is even nearly 20 pounds lighter than a competitor’s two stroke.
The next-gen, I-4 V MAX SHO four strokes feature:
Smarter Fuel Economy
The I-4 V MAX SHOs delivers the incredibly efficient, clean and quiet performance you expect from a four stroke. Using up to 40 percent less fuel than a traditional
carbureted two stroke, the savings alone should be enough to get you on board.
Four-stroke outboards like the I-4 V MAX SHOs eliminate the need for an external oil tank. That saves approximately 28 pounds and frees up storage space for tackle and other supplies.
The new four-stroke I-4 V MAX SHOs feature mechanical controls that make them compatible with most bass, bay and flats boats. To complete your outboard control system, choose from analog, 6Y5 digital or Command Link® gauges.
Power and Performance
From the four-cylinder DOHC powerhead with four valves per cylinder, to the counterbalancing technology, each feature of the I-4 V MAX SHOs is efficiently engineered for smooth, quiet performance.
