Charleston Water Taxi Puts 8,700 Hours on Second Set of F150s, Repowers with Third Set

Charleston, S.C., May 13, 2013 - Yamaha Marine Group announced today that the Charleston Water Taxi has repowered for the second time in two years with a pair of Yamaha F150 outboards. This time, the outboards they are replacing are still running strong after 8,700 hours of use.

In 2011, Yamaha Marine Group acquired the original two F150 outboard motors from the vessel, each of which had more than 6,800 hours of use. They had powered the 40-foot, 16,000-pound Catamaran, which ferries passengers across the Charleston Harbor.

Weber Joins the Yamaha Marine Group

Kennesaw, Ga., Nov. 28, 2012– Yamaha Marine Group announced today the appointment of Heidi Weber as Communications Coordinator for the Marine Marketing Department. 

In her new role, Weber will support Martin Peters, Manager, Dealer Education and Communications.  Her responsibilities will include the writing and coordination of both internal and external communications for Yamaha Marine Group.  She will also support the development of Yamaha Marine University™  training materials.

Yamaha Marine Group Appoints Grondzki to Department Manager

Kennesaw, Ga., June 21, 2012– Yamaha Marine Group announced today the appointment of Todd Grondzki to the position of Department Manager, Sponsorship and Events.  In his new role, Grondzki will be responsible for planning, developing and executing all marketing events, including consumer boat shows, industry trade shows and Yamaha marine business meetings.  He will also oversee the Team Yamaha freshwater and saltwater tournament and pro staff sponsorships.
