Kennesaw, Ga., March 16, 2017 - Yamaha Marine Group praised Governor Rick Scott for his recommendations to the Secretary of Commerce for appointments to the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council (GMFMC), which included Phil Dyskow, Immediate Past President of Yamaha Marine Group.

Governor Scott’s nominees for the Gulf Council will now be considered by the Secretary of Commerce, who will select one final appointee to serve on the Council. Council members are tasked with managing marine resources to the greatest benefit of the nation, as outlined by Congress in the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (MSA). Council members serve three-year terms and are limited to a maximum of three consecutive terms.
