Company News Yamaha Marine Announces Employee Promotions, Organizational Changes Posted 3/22/2011 Bob Popiel, Mark Tracy and Kyle Rippe become Division Managers Kennesaw, Ga., March 22, 2011 – Yamaha Marine Group announced today several employee promotions, including three promotions to Division Manager positions. “Our number one priority at Yamaha is to support our customers, and these people have made outstanding progress in that regard,” said Ben Speciale, President, Yamaha Marine Group. “I am confident that each of these professionals will continue to enrich the Yamaha team in their new positions, as well as strengthen the company and the customer support Yamaha provides.” Bob Popiel, formerly Assistant Division Manager of Marine Service, has been promoted to Division Manager. Popiel started with Yamaha in December of 2005 as Department Manager, technical training, customer assistance and product quality. In March 2008, he was promoted to Assistant Division Manager of Marine Service, a role in which he took on the additional responsibilities of dealer technical assistance call center and field service management. In his new role, he will lead the entire Marine Service department. Mark Tracy, formerly Assistant Division Manager of Marine OEM Sales, has been promoted to Division Manager. A 12-year Yamaha veteran, Tracy has held positions within the company including District Marketing Manager for the Southwestern region of the U.S., District Marketing Manager for the east coast of Florida, and Eastern Regional Manager for the Dealer Sales Group. As Division Manager of Marine OEM Sales, Tracy is responsible for overseeing all OEM sales, technical and tournament support functions. Kyle Rippe, formerly Assistant Division Manager of Marine Finance and Accounting, has been promoted to Division Manager. A 14-year Yamaha employee, Rippe previously held positions within Yamaha Motor Corporation in Cypress, Calif. in the Cash Department, Financial Planning, and Financial Reporting/Consolidation. He transferred to Yamaha Marine Group in 2003 as Marine Group Accounting/Financial Planning Manager. As Division Manager, Marine Finance and Accounting, Rippe’s responsibilities include communication and direction of the Group’s internal financial objectives. He is also charged with increasing the financial transparency of Yamaha’s offsite subsidiaries, and overseeing all of the company’s forward-looking financial compilations. Adam Hall, formerly Assistant Regional Manager of OEM Sales, has been promoted to Regional Manager. Hall, who began his career with Yamaha in December 2002 as a dealer Sales Coordinator for the Northeast and Midwest regions, will report directly to Tracy and will manage OEM accounts in Ga., Tenn., S.C., N.C. and New England. Finally, David Meeler, former Product Marketing Information Manager, has accepted a position in Yamaha’s new Propeller Department as Propeller Specialist. Meeler has been with the company for more than 10 years, and has held positions in the Marine Field Service, Parts and Accessories and Marine Marketing Divisions. In addition, he is a certified Yamaha Master Technician. Meeler will report directly to Richie Rodgers who manages the Propeller Department. In his new position, Meeler’s responsibilities will include marketing, analysis, development and training for all Yamaha propeller brands.
