Posted 12/5/2014

TEAM NOW OFFERS BOAT BUILDERS EVEN STRONGER LEVEL OF SUPPORT

Kennesaw, Ga., December 5, 2014 – Yamaha Marine Group announced today that all eleven members of its OEM Technical Support group have received the United States Coast Guard’s Merchant Mariner credential or “Captain’s license,” as of November 17, 2014.

Yamaha OEM Regional Application Engineers Mike Krautkremer, Craig Todd, Steve Cheri, Jarrett Young, David Ashcraft, Rob Dziekan and Tournament Support Coordinators Chad Smith, Dan Tucker and Matt Lester joined Brad Leatherman, OEM Technical Support Department Manager, and Bill Craft, OEM Regional Application Engineer, in the achievement.

“Pursuing the credential made sense for the team to be able to offer our boat builder customers an even stronger level of support and confidence,” said Mark Tracy, OEM Division Manager, Yamaha Marine Group. “The 54-hour class was rigorous; it also required 360 days on water within the last five years. Getting the license validates this experience and shows the OEM team’s commitment to providing world-class service and support.”
