Company News Yamaha Promotes Jonathon Burns to Senior Manager, Marine Group Operations Posted 5/19/2013 Kennesaw, Ga., March 19, 2013 – Yamaha Marine Group today announced the promotion of Jonathon Burns to Senior Manager of the Marine Business Planning and Supply Chain Operations Division. Burns will continue to lead the Marine Operations teams, which now include Outboard Supply Chain Management and Marine Rigging & Parts Operations, as well as overall production planning, new business planning and market intelligence, under Dean Burnett, Vice President of Yamaha Marine Group. “In his expanded role, Jonathon will help consolidate critical functions for faster decision making, and ensure strategic pricing across all Operations’ teams,” said Burnett. “With increased product demand, these synergies are essential to provide the best service to our customers.” In addition, Burns will lead and develop a new Marine Employees training program with support from each division. The Outboard Operations team (Ben Mallett) and Marine Rigging and Parts Operations’ Department (James Mills) will report to Burns as well as Production Planning and Market Analysts. During his 13-year career, Burns has been deeply involved in business planning for both the Yamaha Marine Group and Yamaha companies, G3® Boats, Skeeter® Boats and Precision Propeller Industries, Inc. He began his career at Yamaha Marine in 2004 as a Market Analyst Coordinator. Prior to joining Yamaha, he was a Sales Coordinator at Skeeter® Boats.
