G3 Boats Leads Workforce Development Through GOCAPS Support
Posted 5/15/2025

LEBANON, Mo.—May 15, 2025 — G3 Boats continues to set the standard for workforce readiness by expanding support for the Greater Ozarks Centers for Advanced Professional Studies (GOCAPS) Lake Region, offering high school students direct exposure to careers in manufacturing through job shadowing, facility tours and skill-building experiences.
GOCAPS is a yearlong professional learning experience for high school juniors and seniors. Students are embedded in partner businesses and complete capstone projects to explore future careers.
Now in its third year of collaboration, G3 Boats provides hands-on learning opportunities for high school juniors and seniors, including job shadowing, facility tours and skills-based training across multiple departments. This year alone, G3 facilitated seven student job shadow experiences.
“Students are exposed to a variety of different employment opportunities at G3. As a result, interest in shadowing employees has increased, and more students are eager to get involved,” said Daniel Peregoy, GOCAPS Business and Engineering Facilitator. “G3 Boats continues to be a valuable partner in our community, providing students with real insight into career paths available right here in Lebanon.”
G3 also hosted several large-scale tours during the 2024/2025 school year. On October 21, two groups of students from Lebanon High School toured the company’s manufacturing facilities. On Manufacturing Day, students from Conway School and Cross Christian School participated in an in-depth guided tour led by Environment, Health and Safety Manager, Mike Phelps.
Students in GOCAPS choose from four focus areas: engineering and manufacturing, business and entrepreneurship, medicine and health care, and teaching professions. They attend morning or afternoon sessions five days a week during the school year. The program serves students from Lebanon, Conway, Richland and Laquey school districts. Lebanon Regional Economic Development, Inc. administers the program, and Lebanon Public Schools serves as fiscal agent.
